The Interstuhl Group's success story began in 1961, when two blacksmiths, Wilhelm and Werner Link, started to revolutionise the world of work. With their inventive spirit, a lot of hard work and a clear view for the needs of the people around them, they created the first workplace chair, the Bi-Regulette. To this day – more than 60 years and over 30 million chairs later – our passion for innovative solutions that make people's lives and work easier is what drives us. The Interstuhl Group now does business worldwide, is one of the leading European chair manufacturers and employs around 1000 committed members of staff. Our products make an important contribution to the health of the people using our products in their offices and homes, in their production environments and laboratories or for gaming.

The Bimos brand is the innovation and market leader for the best industrial and laboratory chairs in Europe.
Show your best: The Backforce brand offers better seating for better gaming. Our youngest brand is therefore dedicated to professional eSport.

The goconut brand delivers a cloud-based office management solution that gives employees flexibility to book specific workstations, meeting rooms and parking spaces. This ties in with our firm belief in organised flexibility for hybrid working environments.
The Intensor brand specialises in the 3D laser scanning of buildings. Using the latest mobile mapping technology, rooms can be recorded quickly and with high precision to create a digital twin. This forms the basis for many applications.
Other companies
InterTranspo specialises in the European transport of assembled furniture and components. In this way, InterTranspo is not just a freight company, but also a service provider in the industry, providing delivery notifications, on-site setup and fitting services, as well as other on-site services.
InterTechnic specialises in cutting and non-cutting metalworking, including grinding, pressing, welding and assembly. The company also has its own toolmaking facility, which specialises in the production of fixtures, foaming tools and, in particular, tools for multi-stage operation. The company also specialises in the manufacture of textile upholstery parts: CNC cutting, sewing, foam-making, upholstery, all using the latest technologies and materials.
Furniture gets a second life at the Interstuhl Outlet. Here, Interstuhl Group products that have been used at exhibitions or trade fairs or taken from stock are sold at discounted prices.
Gesa is a high-tech manufacturer of customised wooden furniture and other wooden components. Gesa also offers series production of small and medium-sized wooden furniture (tables, cabinets, sideboards, shelves, etc.) for the Interstuhl Group.
Interpublic Seating specialises in chairs and tables for public facilities and public events, as well as furniture for break-out zones and communal spaces in offices.

We are convinced that products can only truly be good if they are produced well. At the beginning of the 1990s, the first binding guidelines were put into place, which continue to be expanded on to this day. Interstuhl commits to consistently meeting statutory requirements and exceeding them on a voluntary basis. Our many awards are evidence of this mindset.

The Interstuhl Group is an independent, autonomous and owner-managed family business. We are committed to our extensive headquarters in Meßstetten-Tieringen and continue to expand the site. A particular advantage we have is the high level of vertical integration, which is unique in the sector. Our in-house Research/Development/Engineering/Design department with testing laboratory, as well as sample and model construction, provides the foundation for the competitiveness, innovation, quality and sustainability of our products. The in-house steel construction, welding shop, powder coating, upholstery shop with attached sewing workshop and foaming division, in addition to various pre-assembly and final assembly departments, not only reduce transport requirements, but also ensure that our demand for sustainability is extensively incorporated straight into the added-value chain. Our own logistics system ensures optimised and short transport routes to our customers.
